Join us to celebrate birth stories!

May 29th 7 pm at the Athens Public Library

Whether you gave birth thirty years ago or two weeks ago, at home or in the hospital, according to your birth plan or having to make last-minute adjustments, we want to hear about your journey into parenthood!  Giving birth, witnessing a birth, becoming a parent are all such incredible life-altering events, it is important that we take the time to value our stories and process how they fit into our lives and identities.  All parents, family members, birth workers, and expectant parents are welcome, you do not need to share a story to participate; supportive listeners are vital to the storytelling process.  We will also hear the Birth Circle’s “birth story” from one of the founders of the organization as we celebrate our 17th birthday this month!
